The book 'Stormbreaker' is set in London, England, and the main characters so far are Alex Rider, Herod Sayle, Jack Starbright, Crawley, Mr. Blunt, Mrs. Jones, Wolf, Eagle, and Snake. Alex is a 14 year old boy, and the book starts off with a funeral of Alex's uncle named Ian Rider, and now Alex has no one to take care of him since his parents died in a plane crash a few weeks after Alex was born. Therefore, a woman named Jack Starbright, a babysitter, who's from America, comes to take care of Alex. Alex and Jack was told that Ian died in a car crash, because he wasn't wearing a seat belt. Alex thought it was strange, and later he finds out that actually, Ian was shot. The manager of the bank, 'Royal & General', Crawley invites him to talk with him at the bank, and when Crawley arrived at the bank, he's taken to the 15th floor, and then Crawley shoots him with a drugged dart. Fortunately, he seems to be fine, and Mr. Bunt tells him that Royal and General isn't a bank and it's something called 'Special Operations Division of M16'. Then Mr. Blunt tells him that his uncle was a spy, who was on a mission of reporting about a computer called 'Stormbreaker', which a computer genius named Herod Sayle made. But by someone, Ian was killed, so Mr. Blunt is asking Alex to join them. The journey so far in this book is that Alex has to go through a high intensive training and sneak into Herod's house and comeback to report about the computer.
Mrs. Jones said, "Be careful, Alex. And good luck.(pg. 84)" I chose this quote because it clearly tells that this journey(or mission), will be a life-risking journey. It also tells a little about what the book is going to be about. It means that now Alex has got a mission to accomplish and it's kind of the beginning of the climax.
Harry, after a summary of the book so far, you did get to the journey! I will be interested to read more about it.
